General requirements

General installation conditions: for a secure installation of FluidFM Z-axis on the FluidFM XY-stage it must be ensured:

Requirements to the connections

Preparing and installation of the FluidFM XY-stage on the superior unit (optical microscope), as showed below:

Installation of the FluidFM Z-axis

Unpacking of the FluidFM Bot positioning system

Open transport box and remove packaging.

Lift the FluidFM XYZ positioning system from the crate:

The positioning system weighs more than 25 kg.

Before lifting the System manually, the Fluid FM Bot Z-axis (8.5 kg) must be first disassembled from the FluidFM Bot XY-axis (16.5 kg) and be taken out separately.

Never lift the FluidFM Bot XY-axis and FluidFM Bot Z-axis by sheet metal covers! Lift the axis by gripping on structural frame only. Never lift the FluidFM Bot XY-axis- and FluidFM Bot Z-axis with the cables! Avoid deformity and mishandling of the cable to prevent cable damage! Damaged cables may cause malfunctions!

The FluidFM Bot Z-axis must be retained in position with two fitting screws.

Remove the transport safety screws as follow:

The locking bolt must be engaged during the transport and acts as a transport safety to avoid damage of the cover lid. The locking bolt is arranged to keep FluidFM Bot Z-axis at the upper position, whereas FluidFM Bot Z-axis is currentless and mounted on XY-stage.

It must be ensured that FluidFM XY with the superior unit are disconnected from the main line during the Z-Stage installation.
